The Ship
An important customer of Event Lab had a simple enough request...could Event Lab create the look the client envisioned in décor, based on a specific theme for a special reception and dinner? Beautiful linen, unique chairs, the room awash in special lighting - and, oh yes, how about a ship!

What began as a "wouldn't it be nice to have a ship," turned into a 3-dimensional, 20 foot long, 18 foot high vessel almost suitable for sailing!

The Event Lab creative team was on board cutting, gluing and painting as the pieces came together to shape the ship. Moved from Event Lab's expansive warehouse to the outside dock, the next challenge was to creatively cut the ship into segments to be easily transported to the venue. Once on site, everything was again assembled - but with one unique element. The ship had to be placed on a platform with wheels to separate in the middle so that guests could walk through the ship from the reception area into dinner.

"Christened" in grand style, everything worked as expected. Event Lab once again produced the elements for an event that not only exceeded the customer's expectations, but also created magic.

Meet the Staff
Last month you learned all about Event Lab's new president, Jack Noble. Now let's meet the rest of the gang at Event Lab:

Becky Harris – Becky founded Event Lab back in 1996 and still retains a minority ownership in the company, but has recently moved away from management to focus strictly on customer sales and service. As Becky puts it, "Things are as busy as ever here for me at Event Lab. With all of the changes that have taken place in the company, I am now able to concentrate on what I have always wanted and loved to do: working with clients to design and plan their events. By adding Jack Noble as President of Event Lab, I have been able to work directly on the events and not worry about the day to day operations of the company. We have the best clients in the world and I am so happy to be working more closely with them."

Jennifer Warner – Jennifer has been with Event Lab for nearly 2 years as an Event Coordinator and Bridal Consultant. Jennifer is in the middle of the busy wedding season, coordinating over a half dozen weddings each month. "Magical weddings. No Fairy God Mother required."

Susan Milteer – Susan recently joined Event Lab and brought her extensive background in marketing and sales to her new position in customer sales. "It is all about making it work for the client and we certainly have the professionals at Event Lab to fulfill our clients' needs and exceed their expectations."

Scott DeLage – Scott has been with Event Lab since 2001 as the company's production designer. Scott's creativity is what makes every event truly unique and memorable at Event Lab. "Whether it’s making centerpieces or building a life-like ship, I love to create the dreams our customers envision."

Julia Mensing – Julia also recently joined the Event Lab team as an Event Coordinator, but is quickly learning the many fine details that go into each magical event. As Julia puts it, "Each event is unique, which is why we always offer a professional service with a personal touch."

Randy Hansen – Randy is our Warehouse Coordinator, responsible for Event Lab's expansive inventory of props, linens, and all the other unique items we create for special events.

Event Staff – Event Lab also has dozens of experienced on-call, can-do staff who help turn our events from "concept to reality."
